Key elements of this project include the replacement of four bridges connecting the Bruckner Highway and Bruckner Boulevard via the Amtrak and CSX rail lines.
The Gateway Estates project will build a new park with a multi-purpose synthetic grass field, a skate park, basketball courts, fitness equipment for adults and seating areas. This project was designed after a two-year community process led by the NYCEDC that included interactive workshops to engage local residents in prioritizing the needs of the area.
